Turning OFF another Microsoft Windows “Productivity Feature”

A few weeks ago I wrote about how much I hated Windows Auto/aero fit feature and how to turn it off.  Well yesterday I had the second person tell me that they had read the post and wished they could turn off the “feature” where Windows automatically selects a window when you hover/move the mouse over it.  To be honest I haven’t come across it but it did sound annoying so I checked into it and sure enough it’s another one of Microsoft’s Ease of Access features.  Here’s how you turn it off:

- Open the Control Panel

- click on the Ease of Access link

- Then click ont he “Make mouse easier to use”

- Then uncheck the selection for “Activate a window by hovering over it with mouse”

I also noticed that the setting for the afore mentioend Aero snap feature is also present here as well as where I originally found it under “make it easier to focus on tasks”.
